The Curls - "Slice of Life"

Vibrant horns, funky rhythm, a sweet guitar solo, and lyrics that make you want to groove along. Chicago art-pop band The Curls released an album titled Super Unit November 2, 2017 and having had released this as their single let those that dip their feet in the water want to take a swim.

Gal Gun - "Demon Eyes"

Video games, relationship issues, and power pop. Chicago rockers Gal Gun dropped an album they worked on over the course of 2 years called Special Music of Emotion on January 6, 2018. Having this track-listed as the introduction tune, it leaves you feeling excited to hear the rest of the LP.

Evening Glow - "Dancing With You"

U.K. influenced, new wave style, and a love-hate take on romance. Based out of Chicago, Evening Glow released Perfect Harmony EP released September 29, 2017. As the entire EP hits themes of belonging, romance, and plenty more -- keep your eyes peeled for what they're bringing next year.
