FIFTY50's bringing weekly spotlight on 3 different tracks from a pool of artists we love and intend on working with one way or another. The 3 bands we chose for this week are BOYO, Rookie, and Clearance. You can find the playlist here and keep scrolling to read about the tunes.

Rookie - Friday, May 11, 2018 @ Cole's

BOYO - "Krystal"

Pseudonym of 20 year old singer-songwriter Robert Tilden - BOYO infuses styles of DIY indie, noisey pop, and garage rock. Channeling inspiration from the likes of Ty Segall and Elliot Smith, he's hitting the road this summer and debuting new tunes soon enough. Make sure to pay attention to this L.A. act on the rise.

Rookie - "One Way Ticket"

Chicago super group Rookie made their live debut Winter 2017 - consisting of members Max Loebman, Joe Bordenaro, Dimitri Panoutsos, Kevin Decker, and Elan Frankel. Creating a modern version of classic rock n roll, the independent band draws inspiration from acts such as Neil Young, The Eagles, and plenty more. Keep an eye out for new music on the way!

Clearance - "Had A Fantastic"

Independent rock band Clearance has shared the bills with up and coming acts including Omni and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. Looking to pop, jangly indie rock, and slacker rock for inspiration - fans of Pavement and The Modern Lovers would swoon over their tunes. With a new album releasing this August via Topshelf Records, make sure to give this local band a listen.
